Adrian Yanez vs Rob Font — Fight recap

Rob Font stopped Adrian Yanez via KO/TKO in the first round at 1:57, securing a dominant early victory on April 8, 2023. Font landed 33 of 75 significant strikes (44%) compared to Yanez's 25 of 54 (46%), but Font's accuracy in the exchanges proved decisive, connecting on 30 head strikes to Yanez's 21.

Font scored one knockdown during the brief affair, which proved the difference-maker in Keith Peterson's stoppage. Yanez, the aggressor early, could not establish his rhythm against Font's sharp counter-striking, landing his shots without accumulating control time or mounting any grappling offense.

The loss halted Yanez's momentum in the bantamweight division and reinforced Font's status as a credible threat in the title picture.
