Alessio Sakara vs Chris Leben — Fight recap

Chris Leben defeated Alessio Sakara by KO/TKO in the first round at 3:16, with referee Herb Dean stopping the action. Leben's striking volume and accuracy proved decisive in the brief encounter, landing 24 of 50 significant strikes (48%) compared to Sakara's 13 of 33 (39%).

The Italian striker managed only 12 head strikes from 31 attempts and never secured a takedown, while Leben registered one knockdown en route to the finish. Leben controlled the cage for 27 seconds and connected on five leg strikes, establishing a more varied offensive approach that Sakara couldn't counter in the opening minutes.

The quick stoppage underscored Leben's capacity to end fights early against opponents unable to weather his initial aggression, positioning him as a dangerous middleweight threat moving forward.
