Andre Fili vs Hacran Dias — Fight recap

Andre Fili defeated Hacran Dias by unanimous decision over three rounds on October 1, 2016, in a featherweight contest that saw contrasting approaches clash. Fili landed 45 significant strikes on 36% accuracy while securing one knockdown, demonstrating superior striking precision despite Dias's wrestling ambitions.

Dias attempted four takedowns but succeeded on only 30% of them, while Fili defended effectively and converted one of his two takedown attempts. Control time favored Dias at 5:33 versus Fili's 2:19, yet the judges rewarded Fili's cleaner striking output and the knockdown he produced.

The fight illustrated a classic striker-versus-grappler dynamic where Fili's technical striking and defensive wrestling proved decisive despite spending less time in dominant positions. The victory positioned Fili as a rising prospect in the featherweight division with improved wrestling defense.
