Andre Fili vs Sodiq Yusuff — Fight recap

Sodiq Yusuff defeated Andre Fili by unanimous decision over three rounds on January 18, 2020, outstriking his opponent through superior striking accuracy and cage control. Yusuff landed 73 significant strikes at a 47% clip compared to Fili's 49 of 145 (33%), establishing a clear striking advantage throughout the bout.

Fili attempted three takedowns but converted only one, while Yusuff controlled the mat time 4:14 to 2:05, dictating the pace despite not pursuing wrestling himself. Yusuff's striking diversity—particularly his 9-for-9 leg kick accuracy—forced Fili to operate reactively, and the judges rewarded the featherweight's composed, efficient performance across all three frames.

The victory positioned Yusuff as a rising contender in a competitive 145-pound division.
