Billy Quarantillo vs Damon Jackson — Fight recap

Billy Quarantillo earned a unanimous decision victory over Damon Jackson on August 5, 2023, at the conclusion of three rounds. Quarantillo dominated the striking exchanges, landing 100 of 188 significant strikes (53%) while Jackson managed only 67 of 173 (38%), a decisive 33-strike gap that reflected the bout's trajectory.

Though Jackson secured three takedowns and controlled the center for 6:10, Quarantillo's superior striking output—particularly his 49-of-57 body work—proved more impactful across the judges' scorecards. Quarantillo landed 45 head strikes to Jackson's 45, but the volume and accuracy differential in the clinch and at range gave him clear rounds.

Jackson's wrestling provided some offensive moments but couldn't overcome the striking deficit. The victory keeps Quarantillo competitive in the featherweight rankings while Jackson faces questions about his striking development at 145 pounds.
