Chelsea Chandler vs Josiane Nunes — Fight recap

Chelsea Chandler secured a unanimous decision victory over Josiane Nunes across three rounds on March 16, 2024, controlling the bout through superior wrestling and cage dominance. Chandler landed 58 significant strikes at 44% accuracy while successfully executing both of her takedown attempts, accumulating 7:02 of control time that proved decisive in the judges' scorecards.

Nunes matched Chandler's striking efficiency with 47 significant strikes at an identical 44%, but her inability to secure takedowns and near-zero control time (0:26) left her unable to sway the fight in her favor. The bout reflected a classic grappler-versus-striker dynamic, with Chandler's wrestling proving the differentiator despite comparable striking volume.

The decision positions Chandler as a rising contender in her weight class with improved grappling credentials.
