Cristiane Justino vs Holly Holm — Fight recap

Cristiane Justino defeated Holly Holm by unanimous decision over five rounds on December 30, 2017, in a striking-heavy contest that saw Justino control the pace with superior output. Justino landed 118 significant strikes at 52% accuracy, including 70 head strikes and 19 leg kicks, while Holm managed only 44 significant strikes at 19% accuracy across 227 total attempts.

Neither fighter attempted takedowns or earned knockdowns, keeping the bout strictly on the feet where Justino's volume and precision proved decisive. Holm secured 3:24 of control time compared to Justino's 0:44, but the striking disparity—more than 2.5-to-1 in Justino's favor—overwhelmed any positional advantages.

The decision cemented Justino's status as a top featherweight contender and signaled Holm's struggles at 145 pounds after her move up from 135.
