Glover Teixeira vs Patrick Cummins — Fight recap

Glover Teixeira stopped Patrick Cummins via KO/TKO in the second round at 1:12, landing 54 significant strikes at 52% accuracy compared to Cummins's 33 at 36%. Despite Cummins controlling the cage for 1:25 and securing four takedowns on six attempts, Teixeira's precision striking—particularly 51 head strikes—proved decisive when Herb Dean intervened.

The fight showcased a classic striker-versus-grappler dynamic: Cummins attempted to establish control and grind out positioning, but Teixeira's superior striking volume and accuracy overwhelmed him in the standup exchanges. The quick finish in round two reinforced Teixeira's status as a serious light heavyweight contender entering the division's upper echelon.
