Jessica Andrade vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk — Fight recap

Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeated Jessica Andrade via unanimous decision after five rounds on May 13, 2017, maintaining her strawweight title through superior striking efficiency. Jedrzejczyk landed 225 significant strikes at a 63% clip compared to Andrade's 83 of 218 (38%), dictating the pace with precise volume across all ranges—101 head strikes, 49 body shots, and 75 leg strikes that accumulated control time.

Andrade attempted to generate offense with 2 of 10 takedown attempts (20% success) and secured 3:29 of control time, but struggled to find consistent entries against Jedrzejczyk's distance management and footwork. The Polish champion's striking accuracy and leg-kick assault proved the decisive factor across the distance, as Andrade's grappling entries failed to disrupt Jedrzejczyk's gameplan.

The victory solidified Jedrzejczyk's position atop the division and suggested Andrade needed to refine her approach against elite strikers.
