Jessica Andrade vs Lauren Murphy — Fight recap

Jessica Andrade defeated Lauren Murphy via unanimous decision over three rounds on January 21, 2023, at UFC Fight Night, with referee Osiris Maia overseeing the bout. Andrade's striking volume proved decisive, landing 231 of 369 significant strikes at 62% accuracy while Murphy managed only 100 of 293 at 34%.

The Brazilian striker dominated the striking exchanges with particular efficiency on the head (161 of 292) and legs (47 of 50), while also securing her lone takedown attempt at 100%. Murphy's wrestling proved ineffective, failing to convert any of her 15 takedown attempts and controlling just nine seconds of cage time compared to Andrade's one minute eleven seconds.

The striking disparity—more than double Andrade's output—reflected her superior pace and accuracy throughout, as Murphy struggled to establish offensive rhythm. The victory reinforces Andrade's status as a top contender in the flyweight division and positions her for potential title-shot discussions.
