JJ Aldrich vs Polyana Viana — Fight recap

JJ Aldrich earned a unanimous decision victory over Polyana Viana on August 4, 2018, after three rounds at the UFC Fight Night event, with referee Herb Dean overseeing the bout. Aldrich's striking efficiency proved decisive—she landed 40 of 83 significant strikes (48%) while controlling the cage for 5:55, compared to Viana's 46 of 129 (35%) with only 1:01 of control time.

Despite Viana's superior output volume and successful takedown (1 of 5), Aldrich's cleaner precision and dominant positional control throughout the fight secured all three scorecards. Aldrich's head strike accuracy of 36 of 77 demonstrated her ability to find the target consistently against Viana's less accurate approach.

This victory signaled Aldrich's continued development as a strawweight contender with improved striking fundamentals and cage awareness.
