JJ Aldrich vs Vanessa Demopoulos — Fight recap

JJ Aldrich defeated Vanessa Demopoulos by unanimous decision over three rounds on August 28, 2021. Aldrich's striking efficiency proved decisive, landing 93 of 134 significant strikes at 69% accuracy while controlling the cage for 4:19, compared to Demopoulos's 70 of 162 at 43%.

Aldrich also secured one of two takedown attempts while Demopoulos failed all five of her grappling efforts. The fight showcased a clear technical gap, with Aldrich maintaining superior output and precision throughout, particularly in head strikes where she connected on 75 of 114 attempts.

Demopoulos's volume striking couldn't compensate for her lower accuracy and inability to establish control or secure wrestling positions. The victory reinforced Aldrich's standing in the women's flyweight division as a well-rounded striker with solid wrestling credentials.
