Mayra Bueno Silva vs Wu Yanan — Fight recap

Mayra Bueno Silva defeated Wu Yanan by unanimous decision after three rounds on April 16, 2022, at UFC Fight Night, controlling the striking exchanges with superior accuracy throughout. Bueno Silva landed 87 significant strikes at 57% accuracy compared to Yanan's 62 at just 28%, including 49 head strikes that accumulated damage across the bout.

Though Yanan secured one takedown and maintained 2:15 of control time, Bueno Silva's striking volume and precision—particularly her 18-of-25 body shots and 20-of-30 leg kicks—proved decisive with the judges. Referee Chris Tognoni oversaw a fight where the Brazilian's technical striking game neutralized Yanan's grappling threat, as Bueno Silva's failed takedown attempt didn't derail her dominant performance.

The victory positioned Bueno Silva as a rising contender in the women's bantamweight division amid an increasingly competitive roster.
