Austin Bashi

Austin Bashi is an undefeated prospect from the United States competing at 145 pounds with a 14-1-0 professional record and an orthodox stance. The 23-year-old operates as a submission-heavy grappler, averaging 7.81 takedowns per 15 minutes with 62% takedown defense and 1.7 submission attempts per 15 minutes, though his 41% takedown accuracy suggests room for refinement in shot execution.

Bashi lands 1.75 strikes per minute at 47% accuracy while absorbing 2.34 strikes per minute, indicating he prioritizes wrestling over striking volume. His recent campaign has been mixed: he submitted Dorian Ramos in the second round in September 2024, suffered a unanimous decision loss to Christian Rodriguez in January 2025, and rebounded with a first-round submission of John Yannis in August 2025.

The submission victories showcase his grappling prowess, though the Rodriguez loss revealed vulnerabilities against opponents who can neutralize his takedown attempts and control the pace. Bashi remains an intriguing prospect with clear submission credentials but will need to improve his takedown accuracy and striking defense to compete at higher levels of the featherweight division.
