Benson Henderson

Benson Henderson, a southpaw lightweight with a 24-7-0 professional record, has built a career as a well-rounded mixed martial artist capable of winning fights across multiple dimensions. Over his career, Henderson lands 2.93 strikes per minute with 45% accuracy while maintaining solid defensive metrics, absorbing 1.79 strikes per minute and defending 63% of incoming strikes.

His grappling prowess is evident in his 2.40 takedown average per 15 minutes at 45% accuracy, paired with a 63% takedown defense rate and 0.8 submission average per 15 minutes, making him a submission threat when opportunities arise. Henderson's recent resume demonstrates his durability and decision-making acumen: he earned a unanimous decision victory over Donald Cerrone in October 2009, submitted Rustam Khabilov in the fourth round in June 2014, and secured a split decision win against Jorge Masvidal in November 2015.

His only recent setback came against Cerrone in a January 2015 unanimous decision loss. With a 7-1 record across his eight most recent fights, Henderson remains a veteran presence in the lightweight division, though his advancing age and lack of a current ranking suggest he is no longer in title contention.
