Carlos Felipe

Carlos Felipe, fighting out of an Orthodox stance with an 11-2-0 professional record, is a heavyweight striker who relies on volume output rather than takedown threat or submission prowess. The 29-year-old lands 4.88 strikes per minute with 45% accuracy while absorbing 5.60 strikes per minute and defending 50% of incoming strikes—metrics indicating a durable but not particularly efficient striker.

Felipe has never attempted a takedown in UFC competition and maintains a 72% takedown defense rate, confirming his commitment to standup exchanges. His recent five-fight stretch shows a 3-2 record marked by decision-heavy competition: he earned split-decision wins over Justin Tafa (January 2021) and Jake Collier (June 2021), claimed a unanimous decision against Yorgan De Castro (October 2020), but suffered consecutive decision losses to Serghei Spivac (July 2020) and notably Andrei Arlovski (October 2021).

These results illustrate a fighter caught in the middle tier of the heavyweight division, capable of grinding out close fights but struggling against top-ranked opposition. Felipe's path forward depends on securing more decisive performances against ranked contenders to climb the heavyweight ladder.
