Diego Ferreira

Diego Ferreira, a 39-year-old Brazilian orthodox lightweight with a 19-7 professional record, operates as a volume striker with submission credentials in the lightweight division. Across his career, Ferreira lands 4.70 strikes per minute with 39% accuracy while absorbing 3.46 per minute and maintaining 55% striking defense, reflecting his approach as an active but measured striker rather than a high-output pressure fighter.

His grappling remains a secondary tool—he averages 0.82 takedowns per 15 minutes at 30% accuracy and 0.6 submission attempts per 15 minutes, though he defends takedowns at a respectable 57%. Ferreira has shown finishing ability with an 11.0 knockout score, evidenced by his second-round KO/TKO of Michael Johnson in May 2023 and third-round finish of Mateusz Rebecki in May 2024.

However, recent setbacks have defined his trajectory: a second-round knockout loss to Alexander Hernandez in September 2025 and an earlier second-round TKO defeat to Gregor Gillespie in May 2021 underscore durability concerns at this stage of his career. With five wins and three losses over his last eight outings, Ferreira remains a journeyman striker capable of competitive performances but faces an uncertain path forward in an increasingly competitive lightweight roster.
