Edgar Chairez

Edgar Chairez, fighting out of Mexico with a 13-6-0 record (1 NC), is an orthodox-stance flyweight who operates as a submission-first grappler in the lower weight classes. Chairez averages 3.65 strikes landed per minute with 45% striking accuracy, but his primary threat lies in his submission average of 1.3 per 15 minutes—a significant edge that has produced multiple first-round finishes.

His striking defense sits at 46%, while he absorbs 4.75 strikes per minute, indicating he takes calculated risks to close distance for grappling exchanges rather than operating as a volume striker. Chairez has shown inconsistency at the professional level, going 3-3 in his last six fights.

Recent performances include a submission victory over CJ Vergara in round one (March 29, 2025), a split-decision win against Felipe Bunes (February 26, 2026), and a unanimous decision loss to Joshua Van (September 14, 2024). His cardio score of 54.9 suggests moderate conditioning, which may factor into his performance in extended exchanges.

Chairez remains an unranked prospect seeking consistency in the competitive flyweight division.
