Gigi Canuto

Gigi "Diamond" Canuto is a 21-year-old Brazilian orthodox fighter with a professional record of 7-2-0 who competes in the atomweight division. Canuto operates as a volume grappler, averaging 4.00 takedowns per 15 minutes with 57% accuracy, though her 0% takedown defense suggests vulnerability on the mat.

Her striking output of 3.73 strikes landed per minute at 52% accuracy is modest, but she absorbs significant damage at 7.07 strikes per minute while defending just 38% of incoming strikes. Canuto also poses a submission threat, averaging 1.0 submission attempt per 15 minutes.

Most recently, she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Carol Foro over three rounds on August 8, 2026, a setback that highlighted the defensive gaps in her game. The young Brazilian will need to address her striking defense and ground control consistency as she develops in the competitive atomweight ranks.
