Irene Aldana

Irene Aldana holds a 15-8-0 professional record and competes as an orthodox striker in the women's bantamweight division. The 5'9" fighter from Mexico relies on a measured striking approach, averaging 5.19 strikes landed per minute with 39% accuracy while absorbing 6.64 strikes per minute and defending 56% of incoming strikes.

Her grappling remains a secondary tool, evidenced by minimal takedown attempts (0.15 per 15 minutes) but solid defensive acumen at 77% takedown defense, complemented by a submission average of 0.2 per 15 minutes. Recent results show mixed form: Aldana secured a unanimous decision over Vanessa Melo in September 2019 and delivered a third-round knockout of Macy Chiasson in September 2022, but suffered consecutive losses to Amanda Nunes via unanimous decision in June 2023 and most recently to Norma Dumont via unanimous decision in September 2024.

Her victory over Bethe Correia via submission in May 2019 demonstrated her finishing capability, though her inconsistency at the elite level has prevented sustained title contention. Aldana currently sits outside the rankings and must string together wins against ranked competition to reestablish relevance in a competitive bantamweight landscape.
