Joseph Morales

Joseph "Bopo" Morales holds a 15-2-0 professional record and competes as a switch-stance fighter at 125 pounds with a 69-inch reach. A submission-heavy grappler, Morales averages 3.0 submissions per 15 minutes of competition, complemented by 1.14 takedowns per 15 minutes at 42% accuracy, though his takedown defense sits at a vulnerable 26%.

His striking volume remains modest at 2.00 strikes landed per minute with 40% accuracy, while absorbing 2.05 strikes per minute and defending 57% of incoming strikes. Recent form shows mixed results: Morales scored consecutive submission victories over Alibi Idiris (Round 2, August 2025) and Matt Schnell (Round 1, November 2025), demonstrating his threat off his back and in scrambles.

However, he suffered notable losses to Deiveson Figueiredo via second-round knockout in 2018 and Eric Shelton via split decision in 2018, exposing durability concerns against elite strikers. With three wins in his last five outings, Morales remains a submission threat in the flyweight division but must address his striking defense and takedown security to compete consistently at the highest level.
