Junior Dos Santos

Junior Dos Santos, fighting out of an Orthodox stance, holds a professional record of 21-9-0 with a recent 6-2 performance across his last eight UFC appearances. The 6'4" Brazilian heavyweight lands 4.49 strikes per minute with 47% accuracy while maintaining solid defensive positioning at 56% strike defense, absorbing 3.33 strikes per minute.

Dos Santos operates as a technical striker rather than a submission threat, averaging just 0.1 submission attempts per 15 minutes while defending takedowns at an 81% rate despite minimal grappling offense (0.30 takedowns per 15 minutes). His resume includes notable victories over Fabricio Werdum (KO, Round 1, 2008), Mirko Filipovic (KO, Round 3, 2009), and Frank Mir (KO, Round 2, 2012), though he suffered significant losses to Cain Velasquez in their 2013 rematch (KO, Round 5) and Stipe Miocic (KO, Round 1, 2017).

At 40 years old, Dos Santos has transitioned into a veteran presence in the heavyweight division, relying on his striking precision and defensive fundamentals rather than explosive power.
