Luis Gurule

Luis "Grim" Gurule holds an 11-4-0 professional record and competes as an orthodox-stance flyweight standing 5'5" with a 64-inch reach. A volume striker who lands 5.44 strikes per minute with 43% accuracy while absorbing 5.35 per minute, Gurule relies on his defensive awareness—maintaining 57% striking defense—rather than takedown entries, averaging just 0.64 takedowns per 15 minutes at 15% accuracy.

His recent stretch has been inconsistent: he suffered a knockout loss to Ode Osbourne in April 2025, then posted a split-decision win over Nick Piccininni before losing a unanimous decision to Jesus Aguilar in September 2025. More recently, Gurule defeated Daniel Barez via unanimous decision in May 2026 but was submitted by Rei Tsuruya in the opening round just days later, and dropped another unanimous decision to Alden Coria in February 2026.

With a 2-4 record across his last six outings, Gurule faces mounting pressure to stabilize his standing in a competitive flyweight division where his modest striking output and low submission threat (0.2 per 15 minutes) leave limited margin for error.
