Reinier de Ridder

Reinier de Ridder is a 33-year-old southpaw middleweight with a 21-4-0 professional record who competes as a well-rounded mixed martial artist capable of winning fights across multiple disciplines. Over his career, de Ridder lands 2.47 strikes per minute with 48% accuracy while absorbing 2.36 strikes per minute and defending 46% of incoming strikes, indicating a measured striking approach that prioritizes efficiency over volume.

His grappling credentials are substantive: he averages 2.56 takedown attempts per 15 minutes with a 29% conversion rate and defends 40% of takedown attempts, while maintaining a 0.6 submission average per 15 minutes that demonstrates consistent submission threat. Recent results show mixed momentum—he submitted Kevin Holland in the first round (January 2025) and Gerald Meerschaert in the third (November 2024), then secured a split-decision victory over Robert Whittaker (July 2025) and a second-round knockout of Bo Nickal (May 2025).

However, consecutive losses to Brendan Allen via fourth-round knockout (October 2025) and Caio Borralho via unanimous decision (March 2026) have stalled his divisional ascent. De Ridder remains a dangerous middleweight contender whose technical grappling and submission acumen provide paths to victory, though recent setbacks suggest he requires a strategic comeback fight to reclaim momentum in the competitive 185-pound division.
