Wang Cong

Wang Cong, fighting out of a southpaw stance, holds a 9-1-0 professional record with recent form of 5-1 across his last six outings. The 5'6" fighter operates as a well-rounded mixed martial artist with a balanced striking and grappling approach.

Cong lands 6.22 strikes per minute at 56% accuracy while maintaining solid defensive fundamentals, absorbing just 2.19 strikes per minute and defending 63% of incoming strikes. His grappling credentials are equally noteworthy: he averages 0.78 takedowns per 15 minutes with 75% accuracy and an impressive 84% takedown defense rate, complemented by 0.8 submission attempts per 15 minutes that reflect a genuine threat off his back.

Recent performances showcase his submission prowess—he submitted Paula Luna in the opening round (May 2024) and notched three consecutive unanimous decisions over Bruna Brasil, Ariane da Silva, and Eduarda Moura through 2025 and early 2026. However, a second-round submission loss to Gabriella Fernandes in November 2024 revealed vulnerabilities in scrambling exchanges.

Cong's efficient striking combined with his submission-heavy grappling makes him a technical threat across all ranges, though his recent losses suggest he struggles against elite-level submission defense.
