Aiemann Zahabi vs Marlon Vera — Fight recap

Aiemann Zahabi defeated Marlon Vera by split decision after three rounds on October 18, 2025, in a striking-heavy contest that saw the Canadian outland his opponent across the striking metrics. Zahabi connected on 81 of 152 significant strikes (53% accuracy) while Vera managed 56 of 152 (36% accuracy), a notable differential that reflected Zahabi's superior volume and precision throughout the fight.

Zahabi's striking was distributed effectively, landing 47 head strikes, 20 body shots, and 14 leg kicks, while Vera scored a knockdown in the bout but couldn't capitalize on offensive momentum. Neither fighter attempted takedowns or accumulated meaningful control time, making this a pure striking affair where footwork and combinations determined the outcome.

Referee Jason Herzog oversaw a competitive three-round battle that hinged on Zahabi's consistency in the pocket, though the split decision verdict indicated the judges saw closer rounds than the striking statistics suggest. The win positions Zahabi in the bantamweight conversation while raising questions about Vera's path forward in a competitive division.
