Marlon Vera

Marlon "Chito" Vera holds a 23-12-1 professional record and competes as a switch-stance bantamweight standing 5'8" with a 70-inch reach. A volume striker who lands 4.18 strikes per minute with 47% accuracy while absorbing 5.34 per minute, Vera compensates for modest striking defense (50%) with solid takedown defense at 71%, though his offensive wrestling remains limited at 0.47 takedowns per 15 minutes with 39% accuracy.

His submission average of 0.8 per 15 minutes highlights a grappling threat that has produced notable finishes including a second-round submission of Guido Cannetti and a third-round TKO of Andre Ewell. Recent results have proven inconsistent: Vera defeated Frankie Edgar via TKO in November 2021 but suffered consecutive decision losses to Song Yadong in May 2020 and most recently to Aiemann Zahabi in October 2025.

Operating outside the ranked bantamweight picture, Vera remains a mid-tier test for contenders seeking experience against durable, submission-minded opponents.
