Benoit Saint Denis vs Renato Moicano — Fight recap

Renato Moicano defeated Benoit Saint Denis via TKO (doctor's stoppage) at 5:00 of round two on September 28, 2024. Moicano controlled the striking exchanges decisively, landing 50 of 72 significant strikes (69% accuracy) compared to Saint Denis's 25 of 60 (41%), with 46 of those landing to the head.

Moicano also secured one takedown while maintaining 4:53 of control time, dictating the pace throughout the contest. Saint Denis managed minimal offense, unable to establish any takedown attempts and controlling just five seconds of the fight.

The Brazilian striker's superior volume and accuracy on the feet, particularly to the head, accumulated enough damage that the ringside physician halted the action. The result reinforces Moicano's standing as a legitimate lightweight contender while raising questions about Saint Denis's durability at the elite level.
