Renato Moicano

Renato Moicano, a 35-year-old Brazilian Orthodox fighter, holds a 21-7-1 professional record with a recent 5-3 mark over his last eight UFC outings. Operating at lightweight, Moicano employs a balanced mixed-martial-arts approach rather than specializing in any single discipline.

His career striking averages 4.10 landed per minute with 49% accuracy while absorbing 3.55 strikes per minute and maintaining 59% striking defense, indicating a measured offensive pace paired with solid defensive positioning. On the mat, he averages 1.68 takedown attempts per 15 minutes with 40% accuracy and 64% takedown defense, suggesting he uses wrestling opportunistically rather than as a primary weapon.

His submission average of 0.6 per 15 minutes reflects occasional grappling finishes. Recent performances showcase mixed results: Moicano defeated Benoit Saint Denis via second-round doctor's stoppage in September 2024 and submitted Brad Riddell in the first round in November 2022, but suffered a unanimous decision loss to Rafael Dos Anjos in March 2022 and dropped a recent three-round decision to Beneil Dariush in June 2025.

His inconsistent recent form has left him outside the divisional rankings as he seeks to rebuild momentum in a competitive lightweight division.
