Brandon Royval vs Manel Kape — Fight recap

Manel Kape stopped Brandon Royval via KO/TKO in the first round at 3:18, with referee Herb Dean waving off the action. Both fighters landed significant strikes at a high volume early, with Royval connecting on 17 of 26 significant strikes (65%) while Kape matched that output at 17 of 23 (73%).

The decisive difference came when Kape scored a knockdown that Royval could not recover from, ending the fight before either fighter could establish control time or attempt takedowns. Kape's striking accuracy, particularly with body work (5 of 6) and leg kicks (6 of 7), proved more effective in the brief exchanges.

The quick finish puts Kape back in the win column and raises questions about Royval's standing in the flyweight title picture.
