Virna Jandiroba vs Yan Xiaonan — Fight recap

Virna Jandiroba earned a unanimous decision victory over Yan Xiaonan across three rounds on April 12, 2025, with referee Mike Beltran officiating. Jandiroba's grappling-heavy approach proved decisive, landing 11 of 20 significant strikes at 55% accuracy while securing three takedowns and controlling nearly 10 minutes of the fight.

Xiaonan, despite out-landing her opponent in total significant strikes with 17 of 44 (38%), struggled to establish offensive rhythm and failed to defend the takedown attempts, accumulating only 27 seconds of control time. The bout reflected a clear tactical mismatch, with Jandiroba's wrestling base neutralizing Xiaonan's striking threat and allowing her to dictate pace and positioning throughout.

This victory reinforces Jandiroba's credentials as a top contender in the women's strawweight division and could position her for a title-shot discussion in the coming months.
