Joanderson Brito

Joanderson "Tubarao" Brito is a 29-year-old Brazilian featherweight with an 18-5-1 professional record, competing from an orthodox stance. Brito operates as a well-rounded mixed martial artist who blends striking volume with consistent grappling pressure.

Over his career, he lands 2.43 strikes per minute at 51% accuracy while absorbing 2.32 strikes per minute and defending at 44%, indicating a fighter comfortable in the pocket. His takedown average of 3.38 per 15 minutes with 67% accuracy demonstrates a genuine wrestling threat, though his 47% takedown defense suggests vulnerability to top control.

Brito's submission average of 1.1 per 15 minutes reflects a legitimate submission game—evidenced by his first-round submission of Lucas Alexander in October 2022 and second-round submission finish over Jonathan Pearce in November 2023. Most recently, he posted a split-decision loss to William Gomis in September 2024, a setback that came after victories over Jack Shore via second-round doctor's stoppage in May 2024 and a knockout of Westin Wilson in July 2023.

His 8.6 knockout score indicates finishing power despite his volume-based approach. Brito's next assignment will test whether he can rebound from the Gomis loss and solidify his standing in the featherweight division.
